Delaying Our Decisions For The Better

The dreams you wrote roam around my day as the sun seems to roam around all of us, taking over the bulk of my thoughts with exactly what I don’t need to be there.

I see it every day,
The images of what could have been,
What I could have been.

although my choice remains fluid,
I come closer to changing it each day.

Or maybe I just need you to give me one last glimmer of light before I shut the door for good.

Whether it be you or the thought of you, I need something. A lifesaver.

A moment of truthfulness,
Something out of the norm to give me permission to break the promise I’ve broken so many times before.
